Black Mamba Chilli are passionate about uplifting Swazi women and their families, and now work with over 60 women (and men), providing them with a sustainable income, to help them improve their lives. In seven years they have grown from employing one woman to stir a pot on their patio, to having their own workshop, and today, a FSSC22000-certified factory.
They source all the chillis locally and most of the growers are ‘gogos’ with sole responsibility for their grandchildren. Thanks to their hard work, they are overcoming the challenges of HIV, drought and poverty to write a new story for the future.
Even better, each grower shares their new organic farming knowledge with at least 10 other growers in their community, helping to promote sustainability and improve the soil fertility of Swaziland’s beautiful Kingdom.
